Ombre Eyebrows
Semi-pernament makeup is a cosmetic tattoo procedure where pigment is implanted under the empidermal layer of the skin. Over time this procedure will fade as the pigment molecules are bing processed through the lymphatic system, cell regeneration, lifestyle, etc. PMU can last up to 3 years before it fades completely, annual touch ups are recomended to upkeep shape and color, but is not mandatory if it still satitsfies the client.
Ombre/ Powder Eyebrows
This procedure is ideal for most skin types and can last for longer than Microblading. It mimics the look of daily makeup, but with a soft, defined and natural finish. The front of the brow is the lightest as the tail of the brows are the darkest. It's also very comfortable and can work for everyone. It's also ideal for people who have had a previous brow tattoo.
Can last about 1-2 years, depending on skin. Recommended touch up is every 6 months to a 1 year if needed or desired.
Contraindications
- Under 18 years of age
- Pregnant and/or nursing
- Uncontrollable High Blood Pressure
- Diabetic requiring insulin shots
- Currently under or scheduled for chemotherapy must be no less than 6 months from the date of the treatment
- Epileptic who has experienced faint spell or seizure
- Major Heart Conditions /Heart condition requiring medication
- Glaucoma and/or taking blood thinning medications
- Taking skin medications and steroids
- Skin diseases such as eczema, psoriasis in the area to be treated
- Use of Acutane products, must be 1 year from last treatment
- Use of Retin-A products in tattoo area
- Active skin cancer in the treated area
- Undiagnosed rashes or blisters on the treated area
- Transmittable blood conditions. For example, Hepatitis or HIV
- Healing disorders
- Surgeries including blepharoplasty and/or forehead/brow lift in the last 2 months
- Allergic to pigmentation and makeup
The Preparations for the Procedure (What to avoid)
30 days prior:
- No retinols/retin-A's or other anti-aging creams or serums containing acids, this will cause tattoo to fade prematurely
- Botox/Dysport
- Chemical peels
- Microdermabrasion
- Suntan/Sunburn
1 week prior:
- Tweezing, waxing, threading
24 hours prior:
- Blood Thinners: Aspirin, Aleve, ibuprofen, Motrin
- Supplements: Fish Oil, Biotin, Niacin, Vitamin E
- Caffine (coffee, soda, or tea)
- Alcohol
Day of Appointment:
- Caffine
- Working Out & Sauna
If client does not follow proper before care or does not disclose all contraindications excessive bleeding may occur, it will effect the outcome of the tattoo in s negative way such as poor pigment implantation and scabbing.
Healing Process
PMU will take up to 6-8 weeks for skin to fully heal and pigment to stablize before judging results. It will take atleast 2 sessions (sometimes 3) to achive final results.
Day 0-1: Swelling in area may occur, residual plasma/lymph or blood clot may leak and eyebrows will appear darker due to oxidization
Day 2-5: Eyebrows will dry and scab and may start to itch
Day 4-14: Scabbings and flaking will continue until it all sheds off. Brows will appear lighter due to masking of epidermal layer
Day 8-42: As skin heals pigment will stabilize and be pushed back up to the surface with new skin

PMU Eyebrow Aftercare
Day of Procedure:
- Blot treated area with a tissue to absorb excess lymph fluid every 5 minutes until the oozing has stopped
- Keep the area dry from excess water/humidity for 24 hours
- Gently wash the area with a non-scented soap or cleanser (Cetaphil or Dial Gold Foam Soap) 4 hours after procedure to remove any lymph covering brows. Pat dry with paper towel
- After washing apply thin layer of ointment with a cotton swab (Should apply size of a rice grain for BOTH brows)
- Do not pick, touch, peel, scratch or irritate the tattoo
- Do not let other shampoo, soap, lotions or makeup come in contact with tattoo
Day 2 - 6:
- Gently wash the area with cleanser morning and night
- After washing apply thin layer of ointment with a cotton swab
- Do not over-apply to allow the skin to breathe and heal
- Do not pick, touch, peel, scratch or irritate the tattoo
- Do not let other shampoo, soap, lotions or makeup come in contact with tattoo
Day 7 - 14:
- Apply ointment daily until scabbing had comepletly shedded
Recomendations for Showering
- Take fast showers so that you do not create too much steam
- Keep your face out of the water while you wash your body, then, at the end of your shower, wash your hair facing away from shower head
- Your face should only be getting wet only at the end of the shower
- Avoid excessive rinsing and hot water on the treated area

Initial Touch up Appointment (6-8 weeks)
This mandatory touch up appointment is usually scheduled between 6 and 8 weeks ONLY after first-time, new client, initial procedures. It's done to ensure the best color saturation and fine tune the shape and color
Your color may look weak, it seemed it disappeared after scabbing. It's because your new healing skin is still covering the ink, and as it settles, the color starts to emerge. This is because it's harder to see the ink through the thicker layer of healing skin which is why the process of healing is slower and it's also less prone to damage. This is also why we do 2 sessions.
